Our Mission at

House of Saint Christopher

The mission for House of St. Christopher is to introduce at-risk youth to critical activities and opportunities that build integrity, morals, faith, courage, and compassion, - values in which many of them have never been exposed.

How will HOSC achieve this mission?

1. Engage the community in ways to support this mission through sponsorship/donations.

2. Engage the parents of our youth to join us for all activities.

3. CC’s services include the following:
     • Expose youth to volunteerism by walking dogs at the animal shelter.
     • Teach and expose youth to healthy activities: bowling, swimming, golf, tennis, and hiking.
     • These activities also result in a mutual respect and trust between HOSC and the youth.
     • Library services to expose the youth to the job application process.

4. Field trips to local businesses to learn about careers.

5. Church of choice opportunities for parents and youth to build a faith life and faith family.

6. Partnerships to offer parents:
     • Sembler’s office
     • Local schools
     • PATH Shelter

Who Are We?

CC’s Story:

  • From birth to age 19, the only constant in CC’s life was uncertainty. His father was not present in the family and his mother, siblings, and cousins only understood generational dependency. One night, during his first year of college, while visiting his family, a friend invited him to “go out”. He knew deep down that it did not feel right, but out of a sense of loyalty he followed his friend. This late-night outing resulted in the death of another individual and earned CC a 26-year prison sentence, of which he served 13 years. During his time in prison, CC became closer to God, committed to taking and excelling in educational classes. He received the certifications needed to help at-risk youth. He left prison with the dream to someday prevent other at-risk youth from making bad decisions that could impact them for life. If, through his work at House of St. Christopher, CC saves even one teen from taking a wrong and destructive road, he will consider his calling from God answered.
